Teenager Builds Incredible Iron Man Suit For $500

17 year old Archie Whitehead has just finished his first big project: a homemade Iron Man suit. And it looks super cool.

Archie, a student from the London area, based his design on 3D plans he found on the internet and a ton of reference images.  Everything other than the helmet is made from foam and was put together in just four months, but to look at it you certainly couldn't tell.

"I was inspired by someone I saw in America building one from fibreglass resin," Archie told New Rising Media. "I thought wow, I'd love to do that."

His suit has taken the internet fanbase by storm, making the front page of reddit and being reported on many popular blogs. When asked about his newfound fame, he said: "I definitely did not expect this kind of response! I assume it's because of my budget and age."

He currently has no future plans set in stone about faithfully recreating other superheroes, but in his own words: "leather jackets and claws spring to mind." Go do your homework if you don't know who he means by that.
