New Rising Media will be at the Wearable Technology Show

Wearables are quickly becoming a technological and cultural norm, which alongside the rise in augmented reality makes 2015 an exciting year for new innovations. With this in mind, I'm proud to say the New Rising Media team will be at this year's Wearable Technology Show and Augmented Reality Show to cover it all for the first time.

From the titans like Samsung and Intel, to start-ups with a dream for the future, we will be looking at a huge variety of technology with the aim of improving quality of life across the board. Expect plenty of video coverage throughout the week, as we film everything on March 10th and get busy editing the lot. And what's more, a particular announcement from Apple has made the timing of this event perfect.

"The Wearable Technology Show opens the morning after the Apple Watch press conference when curiosity and desire for wearables will be at an all-time high and all eyes will be on this industry,” said COO of organiser Evolve John Weir.

“The market is young but it’s already estimated to be worth $14bn and analysts believe this will rise to over $70bn by 2024. This is no flash in the pan fad. Wearables are here to stay and we are about to see them become more intrinsic to our lives – our health, wellbeing and entertainment. We are also about to see them move from mainly consumer applications to having a much bigger impact on industry and. 2015 has already proved to be a fascinating year for wearables and we can’t wait to see how it continues to play out.”

Count us as excited. See you in London!
