Tourists Take Selfies During Sydney Seige

By now you've all probably heard about the terrifying hostage situation in Sydney, Australia, as an armed gunman captured customers and staff in a Lindt cafe. The situation has attracted large crowds and some have been spotted taking selfies; sharing the results on Twitter and Instagram.

Understandably, people aren't too impressed with this, voicing disgust at the use of "#hostagesituationselfie." I'd say this definitely isn't the best time to pull out your camera, alter your hair, put on your best selfie face and raise the camera a few degrees higher to avoid the double chin. This takes lollygagging to new almost perverse heights.

Shame on you
