Would you like the life of Bond?  The British Secret Intelligence Service posted a job opening online for a "Target Elimination Specialist," with the job code "007."  Unfortunately, this was fake, and taken down rapidly after being published; but made for a rather humourous slip-up regardless.

Film Review: Skyfall

There’s a moment in Bond 23 in which Javier Bardem’s Raoul Silva asks a dishevelled Bond his preferred hobby, to which he replies “resurrection”. Given we’re now celebrating Bond in his fiftieth year, it’s a trait the Broccoli family has also had to adopt to keep Bond feeling fresh through the years. Over the past half a century – kicking off with Dr. No in 1962 – the franchise has had to continually redefine, reboot, resurrect itself to stay relevant, ticking off the 00's as it goes. Fittingly, it's Skyfall that melds the old and the new together in a modern day Bond perhaps better than any other.

With MGM’s financial difficulties and consequent funding issues stalling the start of production of Bond 23, we can all breathe a sigh of relief now as the well-oiled marketing machine has well and truly started for 007’s 23rd outing - Sony has today unveiled the very first shot from Skyfall, due out in the UK on October 26.
