According to AllthingsD, Apple has just released the following statement regarding iPhone battery life in the just-released iOS 5.0.1 update:
The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.
So let's be honest, we were expecting this from how ostensibly developed and rushed out the update was, as it was to solve battery complaints coming from iOS 5 users. It might have been more of a psychological stop-gap to let the users know something was happening to remedy the situation, in preparation for the imminently arriving iOS 5.0.2.
