Presenting the worlds first quad-core phone...possibly

HTC just can't settle on a phone these days, as a Pocketnow tipster leaked images of the purportedly called HTC Edge.  What's special?  As the title claims, it'll be the first phone on the planet to have a quad-core processor.

More detailed specifications of the phone include a 4.7" 720p display, 1gb ram, a 1.5ghz Tegra 3 processor (that's quad core), an 8 megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture (seen in the Lumia 800 and HTC Sensation XL), Beats audio and the Sense skin...which is feeling kind of old now.

Android version has been kept under wraps (we predict Ice Cream Sandwich), and we're interested to see how HTC will go about handling the battery life on such a beast.  We don't want another Desire HD catastrophe.
