Do you have a life, or a social networking page?

Since the launch/world domination of Facebook in 2004, our lives have changed. Spreading into every aspect, with its primary function being communication, to businesses advertising from their Facebook page. There are now very few businesses without a joint Facebook page and with over 600 million users (active in January 2011) it’s rare you know friends without a profile. Insecure privacy settings are leading to our lives evermore public, then came Tumblr in 2007. Requirements - email address and screen name. A less personal site, and yet we insist on posting deeper personal things to strangers following us. Twitter (2006) on the other hand is just for stalkers.
