Foo Fighters: Wasting Light review

After recording their previous four albums at Studio 606, Foo Fighter's have gone back to basics with their latest album Wasting Light, recorded in Dave Grohl's garage using only analog equipment until post-mastering.  Their raw sound has been rekindled and flourished from their two earliest albums and has far surpassed my expectations of a brilliant album, as I was disinterested with In Your Honour and Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. I still believe nothing can ever come close to the perfect album that is The Colour and The Shape, but Wasting Light is the best attempt they've had so far. 9
