Angry Birds? More quietly complacent

A little over two years ago, Rovio was on the verge of collapse. Relatively unknown and with few social games to call its own, the studio team was conducted to design something accessible yet entertaining to everyone. The result's were ingenious, as Angry Birds was born, along with a worldwide phenomenon. Its makers have been valued at an astonishing £1.2 billion, while the physics-based puzzler continues to dominate (to the tune of 350 million downloads to date), players' free time (over 300 million minutes everyday) and our hearts. Not bad for a few birds and pig minions.
