New Line Studios hire director for Police Academy Reboot

New Line Cinema has hired Scott Zabielski to direct the long-overdue eight iteration of the Police Academy films...you know, the ones from the 80s and 90s with Steve Guttenberg and that guy who made all the sounds.

The reboot was announced back in February, and the buzz surrounding it has gone rather quiet until yesterday, when the director Comedy Central show Tosh.O and reserve cop in West Hollywood got casted to be at the helm of what is, essentially, Police Academy 8.  We're not sure whether to be thoroughly excited at the idea of this, or truly horrified of a remake.  So long as we have Larvelly, I think we'll be fine.
