'Big Boobs' Found In Microsoft Computer Code

Microsoft hurriedly issued a fix to their computer code recently, after it was discovered that a developer hid the words "big boobs" within their program.

Developer Paolo Bonzini found the hexadecimal string '0xB16B00B5' in a program used by Microsoft to enable their products to work with Linux operating systems.  Upon finding this, he posted it straight to the Linux developers forum on Friday 13th July.

Shortly after this, another message was found: Boobies (0x0B00B135).  Think of this as a more misogynistic version of writing the aforementioned term for breasts on an upside-down calculator in school.

"Someone was trying to be funny, I guess" Bonzini commented on his post.  Microsoft were quick to issue a patch and apologise for any offense caused.

"We thank the community for reporting this issue and apologize for the offensive string.  We have submitted a patch to fix this issue and the change will be published in a future release of the kernel." Microsoft told Network World.

While I completely understand this kind of juvenile behaviour is kind of a HR nightmare when it comes to the business world, and it continues the impression of computer programming being a strictly 'male' career (which from the programming talent we've seen on our journeys to different conventions will strongly beg to differ), it's fair to say that this was just meant as a bit of a childish prank at the time.  And the fact that most people have given a slight chuckle to the idea of discovering boobs in your coding proves that point.

Just got to think a bit more before you joke about at work.
