Huge Explosion On The Sun Caught By NASA

There was an explosion on the sun on August 31st, which came into contact with the Earth's magnetic field, creating some awe inspiring sights that really make you feel like a rather small being in the Galaxy.

A piece of solar filament collapsed in the sun's atmosphere, which caused a coronal mass ejection: an eruption from the sun that travelled in excess of 900 miles per second.  A true showing of what can be the terrifying potential of the Sun, and also a beautiful Aurora display in the sky.
