Quiet Quiet Band - Low Noon album review

Not too happy with Mumford & Son's recent turn to electronic? Missing the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and The Levellers? Allow me to introduce you to Quiet Quiet Band, the Reading based alternative folk/rock band with the odd combination of a classically trained violinist and a death metal bassist.

Look past the glorious facial hair and you have 11 tracks of folk, country and rock'n'roll, exploring all areas of the soundscape with something that, while not so original, makes for an entertaining listen.

Through the tendencies of breaking out into moments of classic punk, nonchalantly turning into a spaghetti western and returning to folk while diverting past a chorus you'd expect in a Disney musical, Low Noon is well worth your time.
