Manchester road artist 'Wanksy' draws penises around potholes, forcing the city to fix them

If you've driven on any road ever in the United Kingdom, chances are you know about potholes. Turns out one anonymous resident has taken matters into his own hand, calling himself 'Wanksy' and drawing penises around them that the city's council cannot ignore.

Using industrial level chalk, he creates these moments of visual terrorism that quickly become viral images throughout social media.

"Every penny that we have to spend cleaning off this graffiti is a penny less that we have to spend on actually repairing the potholes!" A Bury council spokesman commented, quite on the contrary to the fact that said chalk is used. And what's more, they comment about the fact this doesn't speed up the fixing process beyond the 2-3 months it normally takes. However the one above was filled in within 48 hours!

Citizen justice or just plain graffiti? Have your say!
