First hands-on of Fez at Gamecity

Polytron co-founder Phil Fish is flying half way around the globe to join GameCity6 to show the UK it's first public hands-on of Fez in Europe.

Using 2d-3d perspective shifts and Escher-like optical illusions add an intriguing layer to already fantastic platform gameplay, along with a heartwarming presentation style and unique design ethic (in other words, it's bloody gorgeous).  It's been a winner of the “Excellence in Visual Art” and nominated for “Design Innovation” awards at the Independent Games Festival 2008.  And even after the many delays, FEZ is still one of the most eagerly anticipated titles of the year.

The FEZ DEZ REZ event will take place in the lush VIP lounge of the Broadway Cinema (also playing some good movies this week that we've written about): a good place for impressing the difficult to impress, and to play Fez with Phil Fish himself.  He'll be sat alongside you to talk just as if your mate is watching you play on the sofa.  This is an event not to be missed.  Check it out throughout all days of the event between 10:30am and 3:00pm.
